The Executive Coaching and Training Institute organized a one-day seminar on April 10 for representatives of the “Energoinvest” holding and its subsidiary (affiliated) companies, titled: “What is COP17 and Why Is It Important for a Sustainable Future?”
Employees from the holding company, as well as “Dzoraget Hydro,” “ArevEk,” and “Kamsar,” took part in the training.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness of COP17, including its objectives, challenges, and overall significance. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the transition to green energy, the role of eco-innovation in sustainable solutions, and the principles of sustainable use and restoration of energy and natural resources to maintain ecological balance.
The program also encouraged participants to actively engage in or support initiatives that promote environmentally sustainable practices.
The training was developed by ECTI tutors, who have completed advanced training courses at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at University College London (UCL).
By providing participants with a clear and comprehensive understanding of COP17—its goals, agenda, and relevance—the seminar enabled them to analyze the impact of innovative approaches on ecosystems and identify practical solutions that support sustainable development initiatives.
At the conclusion of the training, participants had acquired the necessary knowledge to describe the key issues addressed by COP17, including the transition to green energy, eco-innovation, and the sustainable use and restoration of natural resources. They also gained an appreciation of the value of engagement in global environmental governance and were motivated to take an active role in advancing sustainable development initiatives.
