This topic was the focus of the latest course organized by the Executive Coaching and Training Institute (ECTI).
The two-day program, titled “Eco-Innovation: Transforming Green Solutions into Business Value,” was designed for university students and aspiring entrepreneurs. It aimed to explore clean and alternative energy sources, highlight the differences between them, and examine both the potential for alternative energy development and Armenia’s prospects for sustainable energy solutions.
The primary objective of the course was to demonstrate how businesses can achieve sustainable profitability by adopting eco-innovation and integrating environmental technologies into their business models.
The course was developed by ECTI experts who received training at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources of University College London (UCL).
Held from November 26 to 29 at the Stonehenge complex in Tsaghkadzor, the program welcomed twelve participants, all of whom were awarded the Rima Khachatryan Scholarship.
As part of the practical component of the course, participants visited Armenia's first industrial solar power plant and an aeration facility used for domestic wastewater treatment, gaining first-hand insight into the operation of green technologies.
A dedicated session focused on the potential for generating additional financial income through the adoption of green technologies, along with discussions on taxation mechanisms applicable to small business enterprises in this sector.
